Familial Faces

"A little sad as they leave"

The faces that have been there since you came into the world or the faces that you have seen since they came into the world ...

There is always a sadness when they are not around and a joy when they turn up again matched only by the deeper blues as they fade out of daily life again.

Sometimes I am not sure that the visits are worth the emotional toll of the partings.

Life is good, yet ...

Why is the good you have o'er shadowed by the memory of something that was itself o'er shadowed by something else at it's time?

I too am a little sad when they leave (and when I think of them leaving).

A friend is losing his dad who suffers from diabetes. It makes me worry, although dad is no where near where this gentleman is health wise, he is close age wise. Scary thoughts, sad thoughtd, I'm definitely not ready.
