Booting Microsoft!

Well yet again saved from inexplicable failure after an upgrade.
We rebuilt the Sharepoint Portal from scratch.
Updated the old portal after the new went live - all ok
updated the new portal - all goes south!#$!@#%!@
we have rebooted after sp2 and then moved teh tables entire over to SQL2005 and can't access some areas. So we start exploring settings I have full portal admin - I can't get at some settings. I get added to full server admin - now I can't even get the default.aspx to display.
I am thinking ok time to go back to the backup (broke the mirror prior to upgrade just in case.
Then we go well lets reboot one more time ...


Now it works perfectly, exactly like it did prior to updates ( hopefully more securely and maybe quicker)

For this I missed lunch!! @!$!@%~
Oh well onward and upward, more template anmd definition customization as well as business process definition to complete the site framework/layout and design.

In the Norse villages all the children were blond, according to a show Dad saw the real reason was not genetic but a naturopathec remedy for Head Lice involving Urea.

Well modern methods have changed but Aidan is still quite blond ... what really is in those bottle at the drugstore? Why in this day and age are Kindies re-infecting each other so much. I have heard from other parents at other schools that it is rampant in many schools.

We have been revisited 3 times since September. If we still treated using the old method at least I would know that the other kids were getting treated too.

Web Master

Well I got the position. It will be a significant change for us all. More money and less time off. Also Aura gets to mutter web master in a vaguely Japanese accent and then giggle.

We will be able to continue our Summer vacation as planned Drumheller Dinosaurs, Calgary Zoo, Great grandparents (Aidan has one on each side) and a visit to the Mitchell ranch.
